We started out as just two students—one grinding through an accounting and finance degree at Coventry Uni, the other in Sixth Form—fixing broken rigs in our dorms because local repair shops were charging absurd corporate prices for simple jobs.
Today, SpecUp has evolved into a full-scale multi-city operation. We run dedicated hardware labs across the West Midlands (Coventry & Birmingham) handling advanced diagnostics, custom liquid-cooled builds, and motherboard microsoldering. 1. General Services & Diagnostics
All repair, upgrade, and custom build services provided by SpecUp ("we", "us") are subject to these terms. Our "No Fix, No Fee" policy applies to standard repairs; however, complex liquid damage diagnostics or specific motherboard fault finding may incur a pre-agreed bench fee.
2. Dispatch & Mail-In Limitations
Our London field technicians are authorized for modular repairs only. Any device requiring extensive teardowns or microsoldering must be handled at our Coventry/Birmingham locations or securely mailed in. SpecUp covers return shipping on successful repairs.
3. 90-Day Warranty Policy
We stand by our work. All hardware repairs and custom builds come with a strict 90-day warranty covering the specific components replaced.
This warranty is instantly voided if:
- The device is opened, disassembled, or tampered with by the user or a third party.
- The device suffers physical impact, drop damage, or liquid damage after the repair.
